After 14 years of loyal service as the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Victoria & as Lieutenant Governor, CJ Marilyn Warren has announced that she will step down in September 2017. She is the first female to hold the position of Chief Justice in any state or territory in Australia and has been a leading light in the modernisation of court processes and implementation of contemporary legal thought in its application to the rule of law.
